iBobber is a fishfinder that now offers the ability to display fish detection and depth information on your Apple Watch. This innovative device syncs with your iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth Smart technology, allowing for a reliable connection up to 100 feet away from your boat, kayak, shore, or pier. Unlike Wi-Fi, this Bluetooth Smart connection does not drain your phone's battery. Additionally, iBobber is half the size and weight of other fishfinders on the market, making it highly portable.

The use of Bluetooth Smart technology in iBobber sets it apart from other fishfinders. Typically used for short messages from nearby devices such as temperature sensors and medical devices like heart monitors, this technology now allows for sonar signals as well, providing accurate fish detection. When used in conjunction with the iBobber app and bobber (sold separately), you can locate fish up to a depth of 135 feet, tag favorite fishing spots with GPS, map waterbed contours, and measure water temperature.

The iBobber app offers a range of features that enhance your fishing experience. The Trip Log feature allows you to save and share your fishing adventures, including details such as date, time, location, lure used, fishing conditions, and the species and number of fish caught. This log can be shared on social media with ease.

Waterbed Mapping is another useful feature of the iBobber app. By casting your iBobber and tapping "Begin," you can map the contour of the bottom up to 100 feet deep. The resulting waterbed map provides valuable information about underwater topography.

The Lunar Calendar feature displays moonrise, moonset, sunrise, and sunset times for any given day. This information can be helpful in determining the best times to fish.

The iBobber app also offers weather information based on GPS. You can view the current temperature, estimated high and low temperatures for the day, the percentage chance of rain, wind speed, and wind direction.

Additionally, the app includes various settings such as Bluetooth Smart Sync, measurement unit preferences (imperial/metric), and sonar demonstration. There is also an adjustable speed setting for Waterbed Mapping.

The iBobber device itself has impressive specifications. It can detect fish at depths of up to 135 feet and has a Bluetooth Smart range of up to 100 feet. The sonar beam has a 90-degree angle and operates at 118 kHz. The device is powered on automatically when it comes in contact with water and has a rechargeable battery that can last up to 8 hours on a single charge. With a compact size of 59mm in diameter and weighing only 47 grams (1.7 ounces), iBobber is ideal for any fishing enthusiast looking to improve their fish-finding abilities.
